This work of art is one of my absolute favorites. To me, it has an incredibly beautiful atmosphere . . . I often look at its sky and contemplate what its color portrays. The painting hangs opposite our bed, and whenever I look at it, I am filled with deep feelings of peace and understanding. I relate to this creation, which is colorful, beautiful, wild, and majestic. High above, a special place is enthroned, and the magic reaches into my heart. Everywhere, one finds small possibilities for discovery, and I am beamed to India, my beloved country. The picture reminds me of a higher devotion—representing and depicting this view of the world through its beauty and what is behind it . . . infinity.

Fushimi Inari-Taisha

We have thus far displayed two photographs by André Wagner in the entrance areas of two office buildings. In one foyer, a birch forest motif by Mr. Wagner measuring 16 ft wide and 7 ft high stretches over a Light Dress Wall. Due to its sensational depiction of light, which we believe Mr. Wagner conveys perfectly, even this sober entrance area now has flair and emotion.

Birch Forest

It was important to us to loosen up the sterile, businesslike atmosphere of the operating room with a calming nature scene. We were explicitly looking for a birch forest motif and needed high-resolution quality. During our research, we came across André Wagner, a perfect fit. Bamboo Twilight 1

Swimming Against the Stream

Schlafpraxis Berlin is an outpatient sleep and psychosomatic medical practice. This means that we are equally concerned with body and soul (psyche). Therefore, it is important to us that our rooms be inviting, not clinical or sterile. Large, light-flooded rooms in an old building have contributed to our relaxed atmosphere for years. But large rooms also mean large stretches of white wall. André Wagner has now finally given these spaces the life and warmth they need to do justice to our practice’s concept. André is an artist for whom the work does not stop after pressing the shutter release. He captures his clients humanly, professionally, and artistically, creating spatial concepts with them. Large-format nature pictures now create a cozy atmosphere and thus a place where we and our patients feel comfortable, safe, and secure.

When I saw Pilgrim Family for the first time, I knew it was a gate—a gate to India. André Wagner’s works have this mysterious effect of opening the spaces in which they hang—expanding them and connecting dimensions. He dissolves space and time. Birth and Death
