A closer look at the work
Slender birches stand in bright green grass. Pale and dark bark sections articulate their trunks, and long shadows cross the ground diagonally. The open woodland allows the bright distance to remain visible. Individual blades of grass connect the foreground to the taller forms.
Order develops through differences rather than uniformity. Each trunk leans and stands at its own interval, yet a shared rhythm guides the gaze. Individual trees and the spaces between them contribute equally to the composition.
