Romance of Elements
BLUE LAGUNA, Spanien
2004
A closer look at the work
Golden light loops cross turquoise water and open into fine arcs towards the right. A dark horizon lies beneath streaked green-blue sky. A faint warm reflection remains in front. No clearly readable person appears; the image concentrates on the luminous trace's spatial form.
Loops give past movement visible extension. Dense beginnings and trailing lines suggest direction without forming a fixed object. Water receives brightness differently. A gathered trajectory meets a smoothed surface: two images of time coexist. The eye follows light although its source no longer appears as a body.
