A closer look at the work
A white runway extends from the centre towards the viewer. Closely packed spectators sit on either side, their bodies and faces merging into warm, soft traces. A dark hall with visible beams and lights remains above. The bright strip divides the groups while joining them through their shared orientation.
The emphasis shifts from a single displayed figure to the structure of spectatorship. Brightness gives the open centre a forceful presence. Attention gathers along the edges as a restless surface while its destination appears almost empty. Staging becomes a relationship between platform, anticipated movement and assembled gazes. Tension persists without a central person being fixed in place.
