A closer look at the work
A glass chandelier hangs above a long dining table. Its shadow forms a large ornament on the ceiling among small reflections. Ordered chairs, a mirrored wall and an open doorway to a piano room extend the interior.
The chandelier appears as object, distributor of light and ceiling drawing at once. Shadow and reflection expand the furnished space beyond its physical objects. The photograph examines how an interior's appearance is also carried by these optical counterparts.
