A closer look at the work
A long table with empty chairs lies in half-light. A glowing screen stands on a low cabinet at the rear; a smaller monitor on the left stays dark. Cool colour draws walls and ceiling together, while the table forms a warmer strip. Light gathers around the distant image and leaves the intended human space unoccupied.
The title names a conversational room; the view presents its silent equipment. Empty places make possible relations apparent: sitting together, watching jointly, speaking across a table. In this absence, the screen has the strongest presence. The room is held between readiness and use, with transmission visible but social exchange withheld.
