A closer look at the work
A red freight wagon recedes diagonally. Golden light traces follow the rails, arc above the roof and gather underneath against a dark blue sky. Straight metal edges meet irregular curves of light.
A vehicle associated with movement encounters movement made visible as light. The wagon appears heavy and definite, the traces light and difficult to contain. The title suggests speed, while the photograph holds a legible material body alongside fleeting paths.
