A closer look at the work
Substantial trunks support a broad network of branches and green leaves. Bright light falls onto grass between them. A foreground tree slightly left of centre divides the view into openings, while the canopy forms a connected roof overhead.
The woodland edge becomes a transition between cover and openness. Branches hold the gaze beneath them, while bright gaps draw it outward. Shelter and permeability are visible spatial qualities here, without prescribing how the landscape should make a viewer feel.
