A closer look at the work
Dark treetops form a near silhouette below. Beyond them, broad golden light opens between mountain ranges over the lake. Horizontal cloud layers alternate between darkness and bright breaks. Mountains recede from the left, losing contour and contrast.
Trees anchor the viewpoint while light opens a space beyond. Attention goes into an interval rather than towards one summit. The gap carries the greatest brightness. Distance becomes a possibility of sight granted and limited by atmosphere: a fixed near edge meets depth unfolding through soft transitions.
