Romance of Elements
Golden rain, Deutschland
2007
A closer look at the work
Seen from below, a bridge crosses the sky diagonally. A broad pier supports its dark mass while golden light falls from the upper edge in fine long trails. Bare branches cross the foreground, interrupting technical geometry. Trails vary in length and density, giving the heavy structure a mobile outer contour.
Golden Rain shifts perception towards support and falling. The pier holds construction while light seems to detach from it. Both directions coexist without concealing material differences. Looking alternates between infrastructure and temporary appearance, an event made continuous through its recorded traces rather than through a single solid body.
