Artwork text and archival details
Adapted from the artist’s archive.
A spiral of light threads through the dark arcades of Keshi Ghat beside the Yamuna in Vrindavan. The architecture and its reflection meet in the water, while the red nocturnal glow introduces another rhythm into the repeated arches. The scene holds built structure, flowing water and a passing luminous gesture together.
The reflection becomes a way to think about the relationship between a person and their surroundings. How do habitual ways of seeing shape what we recognise, and how might a different light interrupt them? The photograph keeps that exchange open, using the illuminated darkness as a visual image of possible change.
