A closer look at the work
Red signal lights and yellow-black markings stand before low buildings with varied roofs. White road lines cross the dark foreground; fine wires span the sky. Red light colours nearby surfaces, occupying more space than the small lamps themselves. No people appear, but instructions for movement fill the scene.
The crossing becomes a place of potential pause. Lines, barriers and signals organise an event not fully shown. Individual buildings meet the abstract code of traffic signs. Domestic surroundings and public regulation coexist closely. We can read the arrangement without knowing who will pass next or how long this state will last.
