Water
Moonwaves II, Portugal
2010
A closer look at the work
Several low waves approach a dark rocky shore. Small silver reflections gather towards the centre of the blue water. Pale foam lines alternate with darker, nearly smooth bands below a narrow zone of sky.
The eye follows successive transitions rather than one dominant crest. Each bright line suggests approach without showing a complete movement. Similar forms remain different in length, brightness and interval, making repetition visible as variation.
