The Infrared Journey
Moving Landscape
2005
A closer look at the work
Dark rock walls enclose pale fractured ice. Water and light rounded stones occupy the foreground, contrasting with rough edges behind. Only a small area of sky remains. Blue, grey and muted brown connect varied surfaces.
Moving Landscape directs attention to change beyond one visible instant. Water, ice and rock suggest different kinds of duration within a shared spatial sequence. Their apparent solidity does not necessarily exclude movement.
