The Infrared Journey
Night Walk in the Forest
2007
A closer look at the work
Straight trunks stand densely on snowy ground. Warm orange light touches their near sides and creates bright pockets among darker rows. A small strong trace appears at the lower right. With sky excluded, trunks, shadows and snow occupy attention.
The woodland becomes a close network of possible passages. Snow describes the ground while trunks mark distance. Looking searches for routes through repetition; warm light offers orientation without revealing the entire space.
