A closer look at the work
A stone gate stands frontally among tall trees and smaller stone forms. A few steps lead into a densely arranged enclosure. A lantern opening glows orange on the right within otherwise blue surroundings. Marks and edges preserve the stones as distinct bodies.
The threshold offers no open space beyond; further placed forms thicken. The eye is invited and slowed. Small warm light gives a near-human scale beside dark forest and massive gateway. Without assigning meanings to particular signs, attention follows an order of layering, repetition and limited openings.
