A closer look at the work
A stone gate is seen obliquely between a massive trunk and crowded monument-like forms. Cool blue light lifts edges from darkness. Small rectangular bodies stand below rounded tops and tall stones. Trees and branches enter directly among the placed objects.
Built forms and vegetation share and partly obscure one another. The large trunk gives smaller stones an intimate scale; the gate directs sight without revealing everything beyond. Density encourages attention to wander among details. Placed and grown forms coexist, their possible meanings exceeding what the view alone can disclose.
