Old Windows

A closer look at the work
Two window walls meet in a damaged corner. Some casements stand open; others retain their rectangular divisions. Dense greenery, branches and bright clouds lie outside, while flaking paint and mottled plaster remain inside. A plant stem reaches into the room. Multiple frames divide the surroundings without fully separating them.
The building's boundary seems to have become permeable. Shelter and openness can no longer be understood solely through open or closed windows, because surfaces also reveal change. Architectural order meets irregular growth. Rather than presenting a sealed interior, the picture reveals a threshold where building and surroundings touch on several levels.
