A closer look at the work
A road recedes along the right edge. Tall, brightly green trees stand behind a low boundary on the left, with thin lines crossing beneath streaked cloud and dark sky. The almost empty road gives a clear direction beside irregular crowns.
The composition weights one side deliberately. Open road and dense vegetation balance without matching in size. The title highlights this lateral orientation, allowing what lies beside the route to become the principal subject.
