A closer look at the work
The underside of an elevated road crosses diagonally. Beneath it, a low tiled wall supports a small satellite dish. A deep blue sky wedge remains between structures. Repeated ribs rhythmically articulate the heavy roadway; the round dish supplies a fragile counterform.
Very different scales share one fragment of sky. Large infrastructure and a small receiver suggest different kinds of connection. Tight cropping withholds the road's destination and the space behind the wall. What remains is a relation of covering, restricted opening and a small form pointing outward.
