A closer look at the work
Two tiled walls face one another across a narrow gap. A warm, relatively closed plane with a window stands left; a darker façade with openings and small fittings stands right. Another urban fragment appears through the centre. Blue depth contrasts with brown-pink proximity.
The interval is narrower than the walls yet most strongly attracts attention. It matters through what it releases: limited continuation beyond nearby surfaces. Façades become conditions of an outlook as well as boundaries. The city contracts into a slit, demonstrating how much spatial imagination can arise from a small visible distance.
