A closer look at the work
Several elevated roads overlap in the night. A greenish steel underside runs diagonally from the right towards the centre, while a pale concrete route occupies the upper left. An irregular patch of blue sky remains between them. Lamps create bright star-shaped points; the visible street below appears empty and comparatively narrow.
The low viewpoint turns transport infrastructure into a sequence of ceilings, pillars and openings. Routes that may feel straightforward to their users become a complex spatial arrangement from the ground. The photograph asks the eye to follow their connections slowly. This urban system becomes legible through the experience of standing beneath its supporting surfaces rather than through an overall view.
