A closer look at the work
The tightly folded body forms a dark rounded mass before pale colour fields. Hair and an arm fall over its support on the left. Large red and blue rectangles cross back and surroundings; narrow bands run horizontally below. The posture is recognisable, but shifting brightness prevents an even reading of skin.
The view joins a protective-looking posture to exposure without prescribing psychology. Nudity does not provide complete visual access: folding, overlap and shadow withhold as much as they reveal. The hanging arm gives the compact shape weight. Colour becomes a second order through which every bodily detail must be seen.
