A closer look at the work
The vertical crop shows an upright back from shoulders to thighs. Orange and yellow fields cross the upper body; a broad green rectangle meets the hip below. The head is omitted. Curving outlines separate from the background in places and merge with similarly bright zones elsewhere.
Without a face, attention turns to posture and surface. Small shifts in bodily axis become clear against straight colour boundaries. Those lines divide while also making curvature visible through comparison. Body and grid neither coincide nor fully separate. Spatial form must be read out of what initially seems a flat distribution of colour.
