A closer look at the work
The night city extends beneath an almost black sky. A bright street recedes between buildings, while a broad darker façade bounds the left foreground. A slender tower rises above, its windows regularly lit. Yellow and blue-green light zones divide the city more strongly than surfaces fading into darkness.
The panorama shows an environment reassembled by illumination. Windows become separate openings, the street a continuous luminous channel. Individual routes and activities cannot be followed from this distance; their possible presence survives as a spatial pattern. Between the dark foreground and the scattered lights, distance offers an overview while withholding the buildings' interior lives.
