Dubai’s Museum of the Future rises in flowing curves marked by Arabic calligraphy. Photographed from a moving vehicle, the building appears through a fleeting alignment of structure, light and perspective. Infrared colour shifts the palms towards magenta against a cool blue sky.
The architecture’s image of futurity meets a photographic process that makes the familiar colour spectrum unfamiliar. The work brings two forms of transformation together: a building that gives shape to an idea of the future, and a way of seeing that changes the appearance of the present.
