A closer look at the work
A long line of pale beach chairs follows the shore. Seen from above, they become small repeated objects between dark vegetation and deep blue water. The horizon remains level, while the diagonal coastline leads the eye along the individual seats.
Repetition meets openness. The chairs divide nearby space into manageable units, while the sea resists that subdivision. The photograph can be read as a meeting between organised places to stay and a landscape extending far beyond the order imposed along its edge.
