The Infrared Journey
Slope Point III
2006
A closer look at the work
Bent trees form a dense row along a rising edge. Orange brown trunks and exposed branches extend almost horizontally beneath a dark mass of foliage. Blue sky opens on the left; a narrow green strip remains below. A large near trunk establishes scale.
Growth appears as directed form. Different trunks seem to answer a shared force without becoming identical. Their lines resemble a sculptural drawing across the slope, connecting individual branches with the collective inclination of the group.
