A closer look at the work
A tall narrow stone stack stands on rough, partly green-covered rock. Pinkish patches interrupt grey-brown layers. Pale water lies behind beneath dense dark clouds. Separate stones make the upright form legible through edges and small gaps.
Stacking suggests order worked into material without explaining its origin. Each part remains distinct while contributing to shared height. Clouds intensify this concentration through less fixed forms. Material definition and atmospheric openness create an image of support without implying invulnerability: joints remain as present as the whole upright shape.
