A closer look at the work

A small stone bridge crosses dark water between trees. Its flat pale surface provides a short route into the garden. Rounded shrubs, rocks and a lantern occupy different heights; reddish foliage accents the dense green on the right. Nearby trunks frame the view without fully opening the space behind.

The composition develops through carefully differentiated distances. The bridge joins two sides while remaining an individual object within vegetation. Straight lines are scarce; most boundaries follow curves and irregular contours. The photograph presents a designed natural space whose order relies less on symmetry than on successive transitions between water, stone and growing forms.
