Romance of Elements
Three elements, Indien
2004
A closer look at the work
Turquoise water lies between dark vegetation and warm brown rocks. An irregular golden light trace follows the opposite slope, separating stones from their surroundings. Nearby leaves remain silhouetted. Water, rock and luminous line offer distinct surfaces.
The title invites attention to these interacting elements. The light resembles a drawing across the terrain, whereas water forms a softer continuous field. Concrete landscape meets visible marking: an additional line makes the surrounding place legible in another way.
