The Infrared Journey
To Let Rest
2008
A closer look at the work
Large hollowed rocks lie above low green vegetation. Pale brown surfaces alternate between smooth bulges and deep shadow. A perforated form rises on the left beside a more compact stone. Blue sky clarifies their outlines.
The rocks nearly suggest figures while remaining open to interpretation. Cavities invite readings without confirming any one shape. Weight meets openness: solid material appears substantial yet unexpectedly permeable to the gaze.
