A closer look at the work
A broad white light field crosses the centre, concealing much of the street. Lit façades and crowded signs remain above; nearby people stand at a railing below. Some bodies blur, one on the right stays clearer. The city separates into near occupation, almost empty brightness and intricate distance.
The bright zone carries less information than its darker edges yet dominates the image. It interrupts sight rather than extending it. People provide scale while façades continue urban density overhead. Visibility and information diverge: an apparently empty centre reveals how one luminous area can transform perception of an entire place.
