Touched by air, Schweiz

A closer look at the work
Several white birds stand on a paved waterfront. Their bodies are partly distinct and partly drawn into soft pale forms. Lake Zurich opens behind them in cool blue, while a jetty with repeated posts recedes on the right. Sharp paving joints contrast with the animals’ altered contours.
Touched by Air makes movement visible at a fixed boundary between land and water. Birds share the same ground but appear with different clarity. Their bodies become temporal traces without losing recognisability. Physical presence meets optical permeability: the quiet background provides stability while the foreground begins to unsettle the idea of one arrested instant.
