The Infrared Journey
Touching the Stars
2004
A closer look at the work
A small group of trees stands on a low rise above warm brown grass. Bright streaks of varying lengths and angles cross the expansive blue night sky. Compact dark crowns remain clearly placed between ground and sky.
The title links trees and lights across a considerable gap. A low horizon makes that distance tangible. The image considers reach: looking can establish a connection that the physical forms themselves do not bridge.
