Artistic Photography: Light, Time and Perception

For more than two decades, I've been working in places like India, Iceland, Japan, Berlin, Dubai, and Potsdam. Using long-term exposure, analog medium format, and infrared photography, I study light, time, and perception.

Getting to know a work in a personal conversation

In the studio, we can look at individual works together and talk about their creation. On the phone, I answer your questions about a series of works or a concrete photograph. If you are considering a work for your collection, we will also discuss the edition, format and presentation in person.

Vibrations, India, 2004: The work is part of the series Romance of Elements. The formats 80 × 120 cm are documented with an edition of 7 + 2 AP and 120 × 180 cm with an edition of 3 + 2 AP.

Coming back from Yamuna River, India, 2011: The work belongs to Reflections of India. For the format 150 × 225 cm, the edition comprises 2 + 2 AP.

What does a limited edition mean?

A limited edition specifies the number of copies of a motif in a given version. A number such as 2/5 denotes the second copy of a five-edition edition. AP stands for separately designated artist copies. Edition size is not proof of currently available copies.

How can a work be presented?

The photographic works are offered as Archival Pigment Print. In a personal consultation, we can jointly determine individual presentations.
