A closer look at the work
A pale wave crest crosses the vertical frame between differently dense foam networks. Above it, white spreads evenly across dark blue; larger water openings remain below. Golden light gathers near the centre. Without shore or horizon, direction and alternating dark and pale fields provide orientation.
The golden centre briefly anchors the gaze on a changing surface. Foam lines resemble fixed outlines yet belong to the same movement as the water between them. Photography preserves this short-lived legibility: movement has just acquired form, already liable to change again.
