The Infrared Journey — Somewhere in Between
Where the Light Keeps Secrets
A closer look at the work
A broad umbrella-shaped crown stands against a deep-blue, almost cloudless sky. Its dark trunk branches visibly within pink foliage. Smaller trees and palms establish different heights below; walls and part of a pale building organise the lower space. The central crown gathers these scattered elements without erasing their differences.
The work text locates the photograph in a garden near Faro. Vegetation and construction jointly establish a stepped arrangement. Unusual colour makes the crowns comparable while preserving their distinct growth patterns. The garden appears as a relationship between growing volumes and set boundaries, with the large tree becoming both a sheltering canopy and a prominent sign.
