Adapted from the artist’s archive.
Mauerpark appears as a place where Berlin’s urban life meets open space. Sunbathing, conversation, music and movement give the park its social rhythm. In this photograph, infrared colour transforms that shared setting: trees glow pink and the familiar landscape takes on an unexpectedly dreamlike character.
The altered colours place individuality and collective experience in the same frame. People remain recognisable as participants in an ordinary summer day, while their surroundings seem removed from everyday perception. The work holds the energy of gathering together and asks how a public place becomes part of a city’s identity.
