The Infrared Journey
ZUGERSEE #6
2023
Artwork text and archival details
Adapted from the artist’s archive.
Zugersee 6 presents an everyday scene beside Lake Zug, interrupted by the small, unexpected presence of swimming shoes. This trace of human activity changes the character of the view, suggesting someone nearby or someone who has just left.
The landscape becomes a setting for memory as well as a place to look at. A modest object introduces intimacy and an unfinished story into the stillness of the lakeshore.
