SUN HALO AND FOUNTAIN

SUN HALO AND FOUNTAIN

A closer look at the work

A luminous pink circle occupies almost the entire width of the dark vertical frame. Its whitish centre radiates outwards, while a narrow bright edge separates it from the blue sky. Clouds appear below. A thin rising line of fountain water reaches from the lower right towards the circle, connecting it to the lower image space.

Differences in scale turn the view into an encounter between surface and direction. The circle appears closed and self-contained; the fountain traces a slender ascent. The title names sun and water, but simple forms establish the visual effect first. Looking must reconnect this almost abstract appearance with the things to which it refers.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
