The Infrared Journey — Somewhere in Between
Oslo Silence – Between Stone and Flame
A closer look at the work
Stone bodies sit and crouch along a stepped arrangement. Nearby figures are cropped, while others continue into depth. Their cool, greenish surfaces contrast with dense orange trees and a dark cloudy sky. Sharp edges of steps run between rounded bodies and guide the eye through the space.
In Oslo’s Vigeland Park, this view connects sculpture and setting through strong colour differences. The figures retain their material weight while the foliage appears almost incandescent. Their varied postures suggest bodily proximity and separation without defining particular emotions. Photography changes the encounter with already shaped bodies: the setting itself becomes a second composition organised through colour.
