The Infrared Journey — Somewhere in Between
The Orange Guide – Strasbourg
A closer look at the work
A person sits beside a waterside path beneath a large orange canopy. An arm points towards the open view. The dark promenade recedes alongside blue water, followed by more trees and façades. Dense foliage forms a low roof over the seat, while the river opens the space on the right.
The title calls the seated person a guide, but the gesture remains open. It can indicate a direction without the photograph explaining its occasion. This small uncertainty sustains a relationship between encounter and city view. Strasbourg appears ordered by paths and riverbanks, with a casual human action adding another direction to the scene.
