The Infrared Journey
Omega
A closer look at the work
A red trunk rises close to the camera, dividing into thick, irregular branches. One sweeping limb forms an almost closed opening on the left, with finer branches visible behind it. Turquoise sky fills the gaps. The vertical format leaves little distance from the tree and intensifies its physical presence.
Omega can be read here as a reflection on endings and continuation. A curved branch suggests a circle without completing it, while growth divides into further directions nearby. Rather than making the tree a model for human achievement, the photograph holds onto its contradictory order: strong contour and open branching, limitation and expansion, remain present together.
