The Infrared Journey — Somewhere in Between

A closer look at the work

A curved tree reaches over dark water. Its trunk rises on the right, while the broad crown sweeps far to the left. Orange foliage also gathers along the right edge, forming a nearby frame. Behind it, sea and distant coastline run almost horizontally; a yellowish turquoise sky gives this clear spatial arrangement an unfamiliar palette.

The photograph from Croatia sets the tree’s irregular shape against the water’s calm horizontal. Its lean can be read as a trace of pressure without the image establishing the cause. The title calls it a witness. What is visible is a relationship between holding ground and reaching outward: the trunk stays near the edge while branches open over empty space.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
