Architecture meets art – insights into projects
Art for Business & Architecture Written by André WagnerArt in Construction: Photographic Art for Spaces with Effect
When architecture becomes a resonance space, more is created than design – it creates presence.
Whether in hospitals, law firms or hotels, photographic art can transform places. It creates atmosphere, creates trust and opens up the invisible. But true impact does not come from aesthetics alone – it comes from depth, intention and context.
In my projects for Art of Building It's not just about image formats and materials, it's about designing spaces as spaces of consciousness, spaces that transport an attitude, spaces that work, not just by design, but by meaning.
Because art in public or semi-public spaces doesn't just appeal to the eyes, it appeals to the subconscious, it leaves traces -- in memory, in feeling, in behavior.
Photography here becomes the medium between architecture and people. Between the outside and the inside. It opens portals into inner worlds - as in my article “Dimensions of the Self” described above.
Especially in complex or anonymous environments, the power of art becomes noticeable: it creates orientation, relief and sometimes even comfort.
Spaces as carriers of attitude
Spaces tell stories. The question is, what story should your space tell?
One Artistically designed entrance area In a patient’s room, a nature photograph can offer a connection to a landscape. Contemplative art in a conference room invites a moment of pause.
In all these cases, it is about Resonance chambers – a connection between artwork, place and person.
Connection of classical and digital art
Many of my works also exist today as Digital editions. Im Code Blog I report on the combination of classical photography and blockchain technology. Today, art in construction can also contain digital components – whether as an augmented reality extension, as an NFT certificate or as a digitally accompanied spatial installation.
This creates a whole new field of tension between matter and immateriality – a new one. The dimension of art in space.
