A closer look at the work
A large lamp stands before the window on the left, while long plant stems reach across a low table. Seating and a small bright screen occupy the rear. Intense blue joins otherwise different objects into one field. The plant's irregular lines counter the straight edges of furniture, frames and walls.
The foreground feels close yet difficult to enter: table, lamp and plant intervene between viewer and seating area. The room unfolds in layers rather than a single overview. A small screen seems to shine forward from the depth, repeatedly redirecting attention. Familiar furnishings become parts of an estranged but still bodily intelligible space.
