A closer look at the work

A seated nude raises the torso and tilts the head far back. The neck becomes a pale ascending line; rectangles partially conceal arms and legs. Red, green, blue and yellow divide the body into differently legible zones. The nearly square frame holds upward movement and lower horizontal extension together.

The posture opens upward while the grid binds it to the surface. Neither motion nor fixed pose fully resolves their tension. Skin and colour alter one another: planes follow visible curves, curves are interrupted by straight boundaries. The body appears both as sculptural presence and as a relation among separated pictorial parts.

Personal consultation

The work, the space, the presentation.

What interests you about this work? I take time for your questions, its origins and its place in a collection. Together, we explore differences between works and their relationship with space, light and architecture.

Size, selected materials and bespoke framing are carefully coordinated. The precise presentation develops through our conversation.

A photograph of the intended space can help us consider scale and placement.
