A closer look at the work
Four women move through the illuminated area as a sequence of colours. Red and pink dominate the leading garments, joined by ochre and stronger multicoloured passages on the right. Light traces faces, hands and fabric edges against darkness. The figures overlap only partly; narrow gaps reveal the background and bright ground between them.
The arrangement invites a sideways reading. Attention moves from person to person rather than settling on one centre. Different patterns and walking positions prevent a uniform rhythm. Travelling together takes shape through proximity that preserves difference. Whatever connects these people becomes visible in shared space without establishing the nature of their personal relationships.
