A closer look at the work
Three figures of different sizes move closely together towards the left. A child in dark clothing takes a short step in front, with a person wearing green and red rising behind. Another dark figure completes the group on the right. Side light touches faces and fabric edges; the legs form a close network against the bright ground.
The overlaps require the eye to distinguish the bodies, making their proximity tangible. Different heights imply different strides, yet they share a direction in this moment. The image can be read as a small study of walking together. It needs no assumption of family relationships or particular feelings to show distance, pace and physical presence being coordinated.
